300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute!

People love to upload .

Lets not forget the live stream application.

I haven’t used the live stream system but I have seen a few of my fellow vloggers using it.

Almost 5 billion videos are watched on Youtube every single day.

You tube has the attention of the world.There aren’t many platforms to compete with.

 

Instagram and facebook have video and live streaming too .

But nothing can match the tube.

Youtube has the wider world glued in on video content .

So as creators We have to take advantage of the opportunities and market ourselves.

There are people that have gone on to rack up endorsments plus rake in huge profits .

YouTube gets over 30 million visitors per day

Lets just say that you watch youtube videos .

You know a few creators that are raking in the views and sparking meaning ful conversation.

You are on the fence at the moment .You want to start vlogging but self doubt is holding  you back.

Or You see other youtubers with the camera equipment .

So now you feel as if you need to go and buy the latest camera to compete when all you need is a phone .

There are softwares you can purchase that are compatitable with phones.

You can use the software to edit and mix in your intros.

Just here recently I started recording again .

 

I said to myself why not  take the opportunity to connect on a more intimate level with my audience.

Using the platform is much more beneficial for my brand and my audience .

Plus I love the Idea of being able to create videos and add  intros .

All of that impresses the hell out of me.I like knowing that I can leverage people and you tube.

You tube videos get roughly 30 million visitors per day .

That is alot of visitors per day .

So the opportunity is ripe for the taken .

If you own a channel chances are you have had your share of troubles getting viewers and subscribers.

In fact I got the idea to write this post in the comment section watching another creators video .

So we all want traffic and sibscribers.

If you are like me you place heavy emphasis on key words, titles, meta tag describtions, thumbnails .

What you have to realize is that the algorithm follows the people .

Therefore you  focus should be creating videos for humanbeings.

We get it wrong when we create videos for the algorithm first.

I have learned to talk direct .I Use terms like you in my videos because it makes it more personal.

Another thing that we over look is how we can best help the listener.

Knowing what your viewer wants, being clear and descriptive goes a long way.

One of my channels, my inspirational channel is stagnant.

I started it a few years ago but  before  abandoning  it I covered multiple subjects .

I have a total of 19 subscribers on the channel.

I covered too many topics. In doing so I confused people, so I am having to revive it.

I have learned to make my channel more  focused.

For instance I am more focused on topics relating to goals.

So now when you come to my channel you know what to expect.

There is no jumping in on random topics like sports and entertainment.

It is a slow process but I am strategically building it.

One of the metrics that I pay close attention to is the audience retention metric .

I check to see how long you stay on my channel.

So if you stayed on my vlog for 2 miutes out of 7 minutes  then there is something I definitley need to do.

Maybe I need to work on my intros .

I can add a video from my  playlist to keep you on my channel  longer .

I like to use the metrics as a measuring stick .

It is important to know audience demographics.

I think the problem with a lot of creators is that they post videos but do not measure their performance.

So they end up lost wondering what to do .To try figure out it out they  post more videos without  gauging at all.

The top youtube creators use the simplist techniques to get the attention of viewers.

Like being you.Sometimes people think you have to go out of your way to create something memorable.

Any video you create should be directed at your listeners.

You have to communicate your value .

The people should not have to figure out the value propisitions you offer.

You need to spell it out .Like what is your channel about .Like what can I expect to get when I subscribe to the channel.

This is the same area that I needed to clean up in .

I will give myself some credit because I am getting my channel dialed in slowly but surely.
As long as you tweak and use data and people as a stepping stone your channel will grow.

Yes there is so much more that can be done to grow your vlog .

I would advise you to learn a few techniques then test them out.

• Try using different thumbbails.
•  collaborate with people
• test different head line formulas
• Make sure you fill out the channel     art description box .

And feed your viewers with a steady         flow of content.

This could mean 3 videos perweek .
Do not try recording and posting 1 video per day especially If you are not going  doing  it regularly.

Be patient in the process . some channels take off faster than others . Some channels grow slow but might last longer .

I have to be patient as a creator too.My entertainment  channel is taking off so I am pleased and I get comments .

I have faith . Sooner or later my inspirational channel will grow too.

So there is more than enough people to watch  your videos .

You as the creator has to make it worth their time if not people will not stick around .

Good content is  conversational add in  a little bit of personality with an intro to grab peoples attention.

I am learning the art of recording .

I feel far more comfortable on camera then I did a few moths ago .

The reason why I am so free is because I am not trying to be perfect .

It  helps me a lot. where as a few months back had I  mis pronounced or studdered I would have re recorded the whole video.

So making mistakes on camera has helped me .

So now I take what is perceived to be a vulnerability and use it to my advantage.

That way people can see my progress .

Remember you do not have to be a “rock star” to get views and attention.”

The more videos you record the better you will be.

It comes in time .

There are Some creators that are not patient enough to stick around and grow their channel.

If you are patient and willing to test and enhance your skill sets you can  expand your channel.

A lot of the top creators that you see have had obstacles to face at some point in time .

They never gave up .

Those are the creators that stuck around learned from their mistakes and went to build huge followings .

What is even more exciting about this is that many of them share their knowledge on youtube.

You can hit the search bar and find anything related to your niche .

The opportunities to learn and grow are limitless.

A win win scenario if you ask me.

I mentioned having 2 channels one is growing and the other is stagnant .

I am having a blast reading the metrics and measuring my perfomance .

Some of my videos do not have the captions turned on .

The average view duration on my videos is like 1 minute 43 seconds.

There are 2 or 3 of my videos that are being  viewed 100 %  .

But the videos with a rentention rate less than 50 percent I add a video play list to keep my viewers on my vlog  longer .

You see .There are many  ways to increase views and gain subscribers.

Say for example you put out a video then  you come back to view it in 48 hours and there are still no views.

To correct that you check your title.

You can listen to the quality of your video.

You can try changing locations.

You can try weaving in a story.

Maybe it is the lack of value .

There is nothing you have to do out of the ordinary to grow on youtube.

I do think that consistency pays off .You have to be consistently learning and applying.

There is no need to try be some one else.

What You need to do is record your videos and be you.

Being you is one of the biggest advantages  .

(Being you might be goofy )
(Being you might be inspirational)
(Being you might be healthy )
(Being you might be business)

No matter what topic you choose to talk about never lose site of being you .

And look directly in the camera.

Make sure that your lighting is good.

This doesn’t mean you have to be inside .

You can record in the jungle

You can record in the art room or
Pool side.

My point is that the lighting has to be on point .

People will watch a blurry video but are unlikely to view it for a long period .

Be mindful of where you are recording

A clear picture makes the world of a difference.

I am 99.9 % sure that if you and I were to record videos in different settings the results would be different.

A lot of times I record outside in the sun so the picture is blurry.

If you were to record in the shade under a tree you would come out with a much clearer picture than me.

Which also means your viewers would have a much better experience.

Now you do not need expensive camera exuipment but when you do get a few extra dollars make the investment .

Right now the phone ,the lap top gets the job done .

Oh by the way consistently  doing the right thing  pays off .

Quality first,quantity second .If you are putting out 3 or 4 videos perweek youtube  fans will reward you.

But you have to be strategic too. Search for trends and highly discussed topics .

Look for those videos with large search volume .

Check to see what titles and key words they are using .

There are gaps you can exploit.

You can craft better headlines and use keywords with medium or low search volume to cover similar and or different topics .

Or you can use youtubes search bar .

The search bar comes in handy when it comes to finding topics to talk about .

The opportunities for any skill level to learn and grow on youtube is achievable .

There are certain rules and guidlines you have to abide by like anyother platform.

Youtube has so many options available to help you to grow.

Once you post videos that are (targeted) people will silubscribe.

So it is about finding your sweet spot

Identify what you like talking about .

Then talk about it.

30 million visitors per day .What more can we ask for.

There are more than enough people willing to listen .

Then on top of that you can create channel art and sell merchandise .

Other than following laws not violating terms and agreements so that you do not end up in court facing a hefty fine you are free to create and do as you will.

There are creators giving away tons of value .

The learning curve is well worth it in the end.

Keep recording ,posting your videos and you will get your rewards in return .

You will get the viewers and subscribers you want.

Build your channel consistently and you will grow.
