How to increase my youtube audience retention rate ?
I have been working hard these last few weeks to boost my audience retention rate .
Once you fugure out how to increase engagement your channel will grow .
So therefore you need to adapt a strategy .
When I first started publishing years ago I wasn’t focused on my retention rate .
If you want more subscribers more sales and more eye balls you have got to entice people .
People’s attention spans are short so you have to come up with ways to entertain them.
Let’s dive in a little bit deeper .
Audience rate is the metric you should focus on the most .
Let me explain why .
If your video abandonment rate is high that tells youtube that people are not interested in your content.
On the other If people are watching your videos for long periods of time that indicates that people are interested.
I analyzed one of my videos the other day and figured out why my retention rate was low .
Two things I came up with that I noticed .
1 I needed to insert video introduction in the opening seconds
2 I need to stop repeating myself
3 Stop cursing
Had I not went into my data I would have not known what exactly needede to be changed.
Hence why I am encouraging you to build measure and learn .
Having A Higher retention rate means people are staying on youtube longer .
You tube rewards content creators with higher engagement rates.
Yes there are other metrics you should use too .
I want you to experiment and make mistskes on purpose .
Atleast if you make a mistake it will be easier for you to go into your analytics and identify the problem .
If you see your engagement rate drop when you curse or change camera angles than you know something needs to be changed .
I have to work on getting my audience to watch above 50 percent.
I have made videos with long ass introductions with high aandoment rates.
With that I know what to analyze which makes life easier .
All of the tips being shared in this post can be altered if need be.

Are very important in helping you get higher audience retention rate .
Do those things and be flexible what you will find is that certain methods work just for you.
It’s time to supercharge and go all in.

Which ever topic you choose just be you and don’t be robotic .
You need to take a professional approach and have fun using youtube .
To be successful onyou have to be strategic .
You cannot keep doing the samething expecting different results because it won’t work.
As a creator you should make it your duty to be creative .
There is a big difference between the creative ,strategic youtubers and the ones publishing hoping something sticks .
Guessing will make things harder for you .
To me it makes no sense going through the motions .
Your better off testing different methods.
Add some charisma as well.There are no hard and fast rules that guarantees you getting views .
I have been trying to be more charismatic too.
This means be you not anyone else .
Maybe it could be your smile and your tone of voice and bodly language .
You have to keep working until you come up with a methods that works .
Try sitting down or standing up or walking while recording ,check your lighting and location .
You have to guage to see what captures peoples attention .
There is only so much you can and cannot do in a video .
Like for example if you see a drop in engagement at the 50 second mark pause the video rewind and listen .
This is why it’s important to use your analytics .
When I am done I am going to go into my analytics and study my retention rate .
I am going to study my body language and listen out for words .
As of late I have been consciously trying not to use certain words in my videos
