We all have habits, some are good ,some are bad.In Todays post we are going to discuss the benefits of having a library full of books some of which you might never read in this lifetime .We are also going to touch on why you should read.
First of all…. I read for 2 hours a day before I leave the house regardless ,even if I miss my alarm clock in the morning.
Reading is essentially important for the mind .I know that some of you hate to read so hopefully by the time this post is complete you will be inspired to grab a book.
Book reading opens up your mind, broadens your vocabulary and it helps you to be able to communicate on a higher level than what you would normally do anyother time.
There are plenty of resources in the library. The library is a place where great things take shape. The amount of money people spend on education verses buying a book which is far less and possibly make you a fortune.
You can start a business from a book ,you can learn how to invest money in the stock market reading a books, you can learn social media marketing in a book, you can also research real estate techniques used by other successful investors.
Think jab jab right hook written by Garry V. I purchased that book for under 100 bucks including shipping and duty .
In return I get to leverage the knowledge of Garry V the man who took his family business from 3 million to the tune of 60 million.
Think intelligent investor written by Benjamin Graham ,the for father of value investing . Benjamin is credited with influencing warren buffetts investing style. For those of you that don’t know, Warren buffett is the Owner of Berkshire hathaway and reads for approximately 5-6 hours per day .

Intelligent investor and jab jab right hook are 2 of my favorites ,I have read them atleast 3 times each .The exiting thing is that I learn new techniques each time that I study them.
knowledge is priceless and books are readily accessible in your local library.
The more you learn ,the more you earn because ” knowledge piles up like compound intrest .”
Now ,some of you might have a big list of books on your shelf that you haven’t read yet.
Hold your horses for a moment ,having books sitting on your shelf can turn out to be a blessing, you could never have too many .
Those books are a there to give you a friendly reminder to :
- Keep you intellectually hungry
- Help remind you to keep learning
There are some people that have television sets and games in their rooms but all I have is books and a radio .
I love reading like some of the worlds most successful people do.check the quote that I picked up from charlie Munger.
” I don’t think anyone has invented away to teach someone to be wise”
So what this is showing me is that wisdom is gained by learning and experience.
Check out what Warren Buffett has to say about learning.
Warren Buffett did an view on CNBC where he said “university isn’t necrssary.”
And he is absolutely right because I do not see how a person learns to operate or cope in society sitting in a class room because schools cannot prepare you for reality.
In the class room you are learning from a practical standpoint .To help you get a better understanding i am going to ask you a question .Would you prefer to learn from the person with experience or learn from teacher that is preparing you to go and get more experience?
This is just how society is as a whole, so some of us are programmed to think and act a certain way.A lot of us can’t see pass traditional education.
Seminars are educational .Books are educational.Look at The Abcs of realestate investing written by ken Mecelroy. His book teaches you how to research your market, assemble your team ,how to save yourself from paying hefty taxes to the IRS.
Don’t get things twisted either because there are brilliant people that went to college like Mark Zugenburg who went on to found the worlds largest social network called facebook.
My advice to you is to Open up your mind, don’t get boxed in,do not limit how you learn.
I am not saying not to go to college because some of you reading this post might want a corporate 9-5. Just make sure that your education aligns with your life goals.
You can pretty much learn how to do anything in the library as long as you are willing to break the stigma that has been attached to you .
Bill gates is another successful person that openly reccomends that you set time aside to read everyday.
Reading apmlifies the mind and gives you intuition to spot opportunities that others might otherwise overlook.
They also say that the book is much better than the actual movie .
Moreover somethings you and I will not grasp onto until we actually experience it ourselves so pick up a book and read it.
Don’t just read it once either because you will not pick up all the jewels the first time around. You want to analyze so much so that what you read becomes first nature .
I am not going to tell you what to research but make sure that what ever you decide to read adds value to your life.
Even if you are afraid to grab a book because your vocabulary isn’t good, go to your secret place and study silently .
After a while you will likely build up confidence and hold seminars for others that have problems reading.
The opportunities in life are unlimited when you are willing to invest in knowledge .The return you get is unbeatable as there is no replacement for wisdom.
Walk confidently, listen to that still voice inside of you it knows you and your heart.
Getting access to reading material is easy ,you can get books for free .You have friends ,family members that have reading material that they aren’t using .You can get material from them to build up your collection and have more resources to research .
What lessons have you learned about reading and how does it apply to everyday life ?
Make some noise for me in the coment section below please. Thank you !
