Should you expect your employees to work as hard as you do ?
You can’t talk to your people any old way .
I am a firm believer in value for money .
expect employees to produce at the highest standards possible however that’s where I draw the line .
Employees should want to see your business flourish but they aren’t going to be as drives as you .
As an employer you have to put yourself in the shoes of the employees .
I am sure you have worked for people before .
It’s your life and money that’s invested into the business .

Employees get benefits such as vacation time, bonuses and pay raises .
However they do not directly benefit from the 6 % and 10 % profit margins.
Like your losses , gains belong to you.
You are the CEO that has direct control over profits.
I have experienced first hand how business owners put pressure on their employees.
My experience as a business owner has shown I am only as good as my team and what we produce .
This new outlook has allowed me to reflect and realize how important it is to entrust and respect employees.
Putting pressure on people isn’t going to make them comfortable .
When people are un comfortable they aren’t going to produce at the highest level possible.
So in order to encourage your employees to produce at the highest level possible take away the pressure.
Don’t set high expectations but in give your workers important roles .
When you assign and delegate task among your employees they are more likely to ram produce more .
The reason being is because they feel apart if something not isolated .
Don’t make them feel like they aren’t good enough because at that point you will cause friction .
As leader and it’s your job to facilitate the environment where by your employees feel appreciated .
I know some you are deeply entrenched in the traditional way of doing business .

More over it’s your job to ensure that your staff gets proper training.
I know what it’s like working under unprofessional egotistical managers and it’s no fun ,it makes the environment tense.
It creates chaos.
It’s even worse when CEOS know what’s going on and do nothing.
When team morale is low people start calling in sick .
If You can’t keep employees that means more time and money is spent on training and teaching people.
Every business has a turnover rate however the lower your turn over rate the better .
Do you want your staff to be rock stars or do you want them to produce quality work consistently ?
If you want your employees to do their best and not have to stress try taking the pressure off of them .
I think it will help you tremendously if you controlled your ego .
The people working under you have emotions and families like you.
Now Let’s go over a few action steps to help boost team morale
Reward your employees
Don’t hesitate to reward your team when they demonstrate consistency and responsibilities.
Even when they make a mistake be patient and coach them through it .
When you make your staff happ they will reward you .
Don’t set up tight schedules
Allow yourself some wiggle room .
Every task is important but not at the expense of stressing people out.
I have no issues with quick action but I do know when pressure is added big mistakes are bound to be made .
Be mindful of your approach
Body language says a lot about you .Based on your body language People can get a sense of what’s to come because of previous actions .
When your staff know that you are in a bad mood the atmosphere gets tense quick .
What ends up happening is that people get on edge .
Talk to your employees with respect because of you continually talk disrespectful the feed back and end result is not going to be good.
The people you have working with you deserve respect .
When you reward your staff you are giving them incentive to do more and to do better
Pay your workers handsomely
If you pay your workers a decent wage they wouldn’t mind going the extra mile .
Paying them below minimum wage is going to cause you major problems .
They will turn a blind eye to certain things .
You have to remember your staff has responsibilities too .
Working your employees for long hours making them exhausted and miserable is going to back fire.
It’s going to make them feel like quitting.
I know this is true because I listen to people talk about their job experiences.
I have heard some good things and bad things
I know Some business owners are taking advantage of people .
Treat your workers with respect and honesty at all times.
Without your team your business wouldn’t run smoothly at all .
Not only that ,you would have to do everything yourself and lose customers because you can’t keep up with demand.
Conclusion
Yes you are the owner/investor but your business can’t sustain itself without people. Company morals are very important and must be communicated.
A lack of communication can stifle team progress .
Personal goals like profit margins shouldn’t precede the importance of your workers.
Try not to push people over the edge .
Not everyone has the patience to be pressured and bullied.
Yes it’s important to keep your eye on the profit margins and sales but not at the expense of the people helping to keep your business afloat.
