What are some of the things that students need to think about .
• The future
• A Career path
• Scholarship funding
• Loans
• Life after college and university
Those are a few things that you should consider before you embark on your journey .
If You follow those steps you will save your Family time and money.
I know people that have gone on to college because it is deeply ingrained in family tradition ,to do anything else is considered abnormal.
Mom and Dad wants what is best for you but you have to live with the decisions you are making not Mom and Dad .
There is nothing wrong with following family traditions,just as long as you understand the reason why you are getting your education.
The issues I have with the education system is as follows
1. Schools produce working class citizens .
2. Doesn’t teach financial literacy
3. Aids and albeits codependency
College University is all practical work. Nothing beats experience.
Board work cannot prepare you for reality .
Even in studying you still need the experience hence why summer students come back and get interim jobs .

On to my next point .
Some students start courses then stop in the middle of the semester.
In other cases Some students go through the process graduate still not get a job in the field they are qualified for .
So they take a job that pays less .
Bummer right ?
To go university Is a dream and big accomplishment and once you do you are locked upon differently in society .
The very perception that I am talking about is what influences the decision making process.
So even if you do feel like going to Motorcycle Mechanics institute it might feel like you are taking the road less travelled or what goes against popular belief.
College /University isn’t the only place to get an education.
Throughout the pandemic people with and without degrees where either forced to work from home ,layed off made redundant.
The essential services like gas stations, grocery shops, fishing, cleaning companies, shipping companies water trucks were in operation the whole time .
Start thinking outside of the box .
The purpose of getting an education is to enhance yourself not restrict yourself .
Am I right or wrong ?
Graduation ceremonies are great I get it but how many graduates have gone on to live financially free lives ?
How many are out here struggling ?
This is why it is important to have a defined goal because the education system is designed to produce employees not entrepreneurs.
Your parents have been taught the same way and they want you to follow in their foot steps .
These are Two things your parents tell you
• Get a good job with benefits
• Get a good education
Mind you some people are better suited to be employees not employers .
There are people that have gone on to university and come out to run their own business successfully.
In other cases we have people that have gotten entry level jobs with certification and climbed the ranks.
So what it boils down to is your goal .
I have my high school diploma but I learn by reading, listening to podcast and watching YouTube videos.
There is no limit as to what a person can be certified in and I don’t feel inferior to a person with a degree .
The harsh realities of life crash upon each and every one of us whether we are qualified or not .
There are people deemed to be highly educated but are unemployed just like those people without the certifications.
There are people without certifications that are rich .
Do not limit yourself because education comes in many forms .
You don’t have to follow the traditional rules .
If you or your parents take up a loan you have to pay it back . That means you are taking on debt .
And again taking up loans for schooling is not akways a bad thing especially if you have a lucrative plan in place to pay it back .
I have several family members that have gone to University that have come back gotten good jobs .
My sons Mom is highly educated and has a degree in architecture but in previous years she has filled in as a substitute teacher.
So yes education is an important variation but like I said education takes on many forms .
You don’t have to go get it in the institutions prescribed by the education system or family members .
I know There is something about a degree or diploma that makes people feel a certain way which is fine.
Don’t think for one minute you are less educated because you got certified in trade school or online .
Conclusion
Do not let no one define you or try to manipulate or guilt you into thinking a certain way.
The ease of access to information and what you can learn is unlimited .
Clarify what you want to do before spend and waste money on courses and schools.
