Why are marketers so quick to get rich?

The urge to make sales is just too much to resist for many .

By rushing in for the sale you ruine everything

In the spirit of the moment people want quick sale and blow any chances of building brand loyalty and longterm relationships.

This is no excuse but it comes down to a lack of empathy.

 

Everything is geared toward product features.

Marketers  are hungry like ticket scalpers at a basketball or baseball game .

People say things like ” I have the best system” you do not have to do any recruiting” No direct calling or nothing.

Sounds good but that is a big bold face lie .

However There are alot of honest brokers out there working building brand equity.

Garry vaynerchuk is a bright example .

Before the internet and social media you used to be able to slap up billboard adverts  run tv ads radio ads and make sales and year’s down the road

• Banner ads
• Email
• costperclick

Each of the platforms listed  above are in severe decline unless offcourse there is a social element involved.

We have to get busy and start being more people orientated.

In reality marketing is a peoples game not a numbers game .

Most Marketers like to measure success on  sales .

While sales is good stick to measure it is not the only.

And you would think so because it is hard to find brands that measure success by the engagement and value that they bring.

Do you use sales as the sole measuring stick ?

We are living in 2019 .The age where customer appreciation and satisfaction matter most.

No I am not asking you to do anything out of the world .I.am asking you to engage, get feed back and solve problems

This does not mean you will not land the occasional sale with out engaging but your chances are slimmer.

I have said this before and I will say it again (‘reposition yourself ‘) before your revenue declines.

Be proactive.

That means getting active on social media platforms and engaging people

That means making it less about you and more about the people.

Consumers love buying into brands that they can relate to.

Make their experiences memorable.

Customers want to be nurtured.

It is not just about sales,sales,sales
So as marketers sales man ‘consultants mentors it is imoirtant that we do not forget we are dealing with humans .

Instead of leading with right hooks start off with a few jabs .

I see marketers coming out throwing right hooks when no one knows anything about their brand.

Throwing a right hook  is like going into the opening round of a boxing match and swinging wildly .

You will not be able to connect with the consumer like that because then you become readable.

Garry Vaynerchuk throws lots of jabs on social media so when he throws right hooks they land.

The method he uses is simple. Give’Give’Give ask for the sale.

Create a balance or people will go else where for a better experience .

No technical skills necessary, what you need is patience.

You need to engage and build up brand equity.

The more you push your products and services on people the more resistance you will get.

So why not go the path of least resistance ?

It is like a baseball player with a good batting average he knows he doesn’t have to swing at every ball.

Selling is the exact same.You do not have to swing the very first time you engage some one.

Let’s get back to the boxing analogy

• Customer
• Client

Should not see the pitch coming .

When you start spamming with links and start saying things like  “‘check out my products” that sets off alarms.

Jabbing gives you the advantage of catering to your audience .

Get them comfortable and involved before you ask.

So by the time you are ready to ask for e people are more likely to buy your product as long as the hook is valuable blend and a entertaining .

The grestest Jabbs connect with people on an emotional level .

Do that and you will win them over.

But you need to be patient if you want it to work.

Once you tap into peoples emotions they will open up.

Which means You win their trust .

And Trust is a major factor in business

Now days people are more protective.

As a marketer I cannot blame them  for feeling that way.

With scams running rampant you have to do a better job of communicating .

You do not have to convince anyone.The value that you provide is enough to do that.

As marketers we are responsible for the climate we do business in.

So it is our duty to win customers .

Bridge the gap .In other words close the divide.

Pursue your customer with the interest of building long term relationships .

I know you are eager to make a sale .
The key is to go along casually .

I would do it because

• I want your trust

• I want your attention

• I want your support

And once I have your attention I have the power to influence you .

From that point on all I have to do is nurture the relationship.

I have to be willing to follow up.

And here is something else I want you to know

Take your emotions out of it .

Many times just like me or anyone else will face rejection.

The sound and feeling of despair when no one buys your products.

No is apart of the game but if you stay committed the flood gates will open.

Be genuine and give without expectation .

(Give without expectation?) Did I just say give “without expectations” Yes I sure did .

So why should I give value and expect nothing in return”

Well …when you give without expectations you are giving without expectation .It is that simple .

The power of giving without expectations is powerful.

Now in the customers mind you genuinely care . This is what i call “reverse psychology.”

It is about the build up before and after

Trust me the customer will genuinely feel if you care about them.

If you think you can get away with pulling the wool over their eyes your brand will lose .

Build up the trust and give value  first ..it is worth it .

You win in the long run on so many fronts.

• You can win your competitors customers

People are not obligated to buy your products and services.

They are renting your services which means at any given time they can and will go else where if they can get better service .

Crazy right ?

Well Think of how crazy it is when you neglect the very people supporting your business.

And I know that we are marketers but we have to adapt the business mindset .

Not so much individualistic moreso
customer orientated.

My oh my the future landscape of digital marketing is about to revolutionize again .

Stay alert ,test and tweak.

There is no room for complacency.

And please do not take customer for granted.

You can and you will make sales.

I speak success over your business

The future looks bright.

Now the onus is on you to see this through

There are going to good days, there are going to be bad days but you have to roll with the punches.

Business will always have its ups and downs .

Every marketer has had to face challenges along the way.

And just because you see some one getting results does not mean they never failed.

I think that if you shift your mindset your outlook would change.

Too many marketers are thinking about what they can get and less about the value they can bring.

I know that I want to make more sales but I understand that I have to build up brand loyalty

I cannot talk at my audience I have to talk with them in a language they understand.

What I mean is in broadcasting my message in a way that resonates. Things that touch their emotional chords.

I do not look at my customer or target audience like a number.

For Instance say I was talking to you about social media marketing.

I would ask questions get feed back and give you detailed responses like

The purpose of networking is to build relationships and awareness

Lead with value

Solutions get you sales not your products and services .Listen out for painpoints and address  specific customer issues.

Show empathy
Think of ways that you can better Serve people.Put yourself in the shoes of the persons you want to purchase from you.

That was a Real time example of how I approach people .

There is no urgency to make a sale.

And I like IT that way.

People come online and get pitched everyday.

I like being different

 

The persons making the sales are the one engaging .

And why is that.

Because of the law of attraction and reverse engineering.

Law of attraction you  plant seeds.

So if you show love and walk in love you Will attract love.

Business is the same.If you want sales give value.

Now because it doesn’t happen overnight does not mean you should give up .

And that is where some marketers get it wrong.

They want instant gratification .

IT is time to elévate your thinking .Start thinking beyond products ,features .

Prioritize your audience.

As long as you are riding with me you Will continue to hear the truth.

There is no time to play .

So use your time wisely .

Build a sustsinable brand .

Look ahead down the Road.

Think Longterm customer value

Give Exceptional service.

And you Will differentiate yourself from the rest.

The goal is not to get the sale  today.

The goal is to nurture the customer so that  over a period that  person then becomes a repeat customer.

That is the básic concept.

That is how you penetrate and win your competitors clients over and customers

If you can provide a better service you Will win.

We are not short of marketers with products and services.

We are short of marketers that are willing to engage and build brand loyalty.

If you go in with the purpose and intent to solve you Will win.

The main thing is to be patient in the process.

People Still pitch you when You give value too.

You have to remain steadfast and restlient .
