Now days content marketing is the bridge between the customers and the sale .Search engine optimization is the main line of transportation for website visitors.

Hence why I am updating this old post to add some much needed seo juice so inreturn I can get a much needed spike of traffic to it.

Either which you look at it traffic is the life line of any blog so you need to keep an eye on traffic metrics so that you can get to see how each one of your post are performing.

other-wise you are missing out on big opportunities to improve upon your ranking.

A lot of the fads of the past no longer work .Gone are the days where you was able to get away with cheap link building tactics.

Some times you only need minor tweaks .Some times you might need to make major changes but either which you look at it from the smallest improvements to the largest they both count.

To top it off Google is constantly updating it’s algorithm .It is getting smarter which can result in having your site penalized or not ranking well simply because your url and images aren’t optimized.

I wish I knew these things 3 to 4 years ago when I first started blogging.

But hey ..no complaints on my side, this is a lesson well learned and I am feeling blessed that I can share it with you.

So what you need to do is update some outdated post with fresh information,use keywords in your url and sought out your broken links .

It is a science to this but it is not complex as long as you understand the basics of search engine optimization you can make progress.

Do note that every thing up above you is fresh .

Now listen here carefully;google loves new articles but not just any old article will do.

They reward sites that have high retention rates.So Basically when a reader comes ,views pages sticks to a page or joins your blog you are some what in power.

The off page examination tells Google what others think of your site.When ever your article gets shared, social signals are driven to Google about your blog .

Like I said above I am “new” still learning the basics of the madness.However I just finished reading Neil Patel’s article about seo and that re -inspired me to add more value to this one.

Create valuable content

Create content that answers questions .So from now on when you search,search for keywords that are more specific like “How to increase website traffic for free on wordpress.

That is what I call search intent .If you are going to write , you might aswell do it to the best of your ability right ?

On to my next point.

Brand emotion

Your brand title makes the hell of a difference .Remember that your sites title,color invokes certain emotions ,believe it or not this helps you to rank better too.

This isn’t all that you need to know but atleast you now have the basic fundamentals to get you started.

You have a one up on those that neglect this area of their bussiness and that is ok because you can use your expertise to solve their business needs.

For Anyone of you that has a business struggling to get traffic maybe it is time to start producing content that is search friendly or else your business will continue to falter .

You are not alone in this as there are many more website owners that need to enhance their site performance too.

I need to improve my site but you can rest assure that I will be making the necesssary adjustments .

Not only that but I want to be rewarded for the content that I put out.

It takes hours days for some of us to complete an article so it is only right that we give ourselves the best advantage possible by optimizing .

keep upgrading and improving site performance even when you do rank on pages 1 and 2 .

Just stay abreast as to what is going on in the seo world.Be an expert in this area and you will reap the rewards but not overnight.

There is a big open niche in this field enough for you and me to tap into this market and make noise.

Seo is like a medicine ,there are so many businesses that recognize that it needs to be done. On the other hand there are many others that neglect it and get penalized for it heavily.
