To make a long story short I was just reading an article written by Scott Gerber talking about the inner circle.In Scotts post there were a few things that jumped  out  at me.

As a result Scotts words inspired me to cover the same topic .

And so your journey shall begin so hang tight and read along with me.

I know that  it is hard to replace or leave people behind in  life especially if you have been around them for a very  long time and picked up a few of their bad  habits.

I know what is like to make the difficult decisions myself but I also  know that  I couldn’t transition into my next phase of life if I chose to hold on.

Have you heard the saying “show me your company and that will tell me who you are ?”

In order to grow you have to be willing to scale back in certain areas to   experience growth in others  .

If you are anything like me you have been conditioned to believe that a bigger inner  circle is better .

How is it better if it doesn’t add value to your life  ?

Think value

What is the ROI you get when you associate with certain people ?This is a question you need to answer so that you can grow .

Are these people focused and goal driven? Or are they the ones that sit by idle in life ?  Say if you spend an hour a day around them , do you leave uplifted or wiser?

Bigger doesn’t mean better

Did you know that each circle  has an inner circle ? That means that your circle has a circle of people  .

You see that big group of unproductive people that you  associate with ? Even  they have a circle of people with whom they associate with so in essence you are getting a double whammy.

Remember that wide is the path to destruction . so right away you can see the negative effects of having big networks that aren’t geared to get you closer to your goals.

You have to make those changes,it might hurt you to break the cycle but the moment you  do decide to cut the umbiblical chord that attatches you  to such  people you will feel a big  weight being lift off of your shoulders.

And yes be prepared to be castigated for doing it  .

I have  a question that I want you to answer for me .

If bigger is better why is there a minority percentage  of rich people  and bigger percent of poor people?

Goals

Your goals are vital so therefore anyone that you associate with should be holding you accountable and have goals that they are working towards.

I cant express this enough but If you want to move ahead and benefit in life you will have to make tough decisions .

The seeds that  you plant will harvest in due season so be mindful of the company you keep.

Think longterm

If the people that you associate with aren’t at a place in life where  you want to be you might want to distance yourself .

Some of them  will see you  making  changes and try to use tactics to persuade you.

Even if they don’t respect your decisions that is on them.Further more You are responsible for your happiness and your destiny not anyone elses.

Alignment

If You want to be successful you must be sure that everything you do aligns with your vision .

Each day evolves around your dream. what are you doing right now to get you closer ?Who are you netwoking with ?

You are only as good as you think you are .

Friendships

There are some people that you went to school with and they might not be on the same path but are very successful and positive.

Those are friendships that you can hold on to because you need a network of people that you know like and trust.

Handouts

There are people out in society today that feel entitled to ownership or control  for things that  they didn’t put a dime into.

These  very same people  move in lock step dancing to the beat of the herd. They move in big numbers ,talk the most and produce the least.

You will also note that these  people are more focused on who is following them instead of bringing solutions to the table.

I was one that followed the herd at one point in my life until I changed my outlook.

Today I am much further ahead in  life and I have no regrets .What makes me smile as I look back and realize that the people whom I  was associating myself with did not have anything of value to offer me.

So Be bold and courageous in all that you do.If you are doing what is morally right keep going.

Further more if one of your associates do not have the integrity to respect your change they truly didn’t have respect for you in the first place.

The ones that truly have your best interest will embrace your transition and those are the ones that likely have ambition themselves.

To conclude this post I must say that you must love and protect yourself so much so that you are wlling to seperate from that what is hindering your growth.

I know that peer pressure is a serious thing .You and I know what it is like trying to fit in with the crowd just to be accepted and look cool.

The reality of it all is that you cannot live your dream living up to other peoples expectations .

Live your life to the fullest ,stay healthy mentally ,physically and emotionally.

After all ,Who are you living for ?

You are on earth to  be the best that you can be .Do not settle for less ,know your worth ,cherish every monent .
