When I first started my business I wanted control and money .
I never wanted to relinquish control .
When your business consumers all of your time it’s not a business it’s a job .
When you are building a business I understand working with a skeleton crew or running solo
Now it’s about freedom time and leverage .
If you got into business just to be respected you might as well cancel and go back to being an employee .
How do you grow your business and inspire your employees to do the same .
If your employees feeling as if they’re walking on egg shells they won’t perform to the best of their ability.
Your profit margins are a reflection of how you run your business .
You don’t invest in the development of your staff .
You aren’t taking management courses and or learning people skills .
You aren’t investing into research and development so that you can produce new innovative products and services .
You are content being on position of authority.
What about growth ?
A business that’s not growing is dying ?
Don’t take what I’m saying personal .
It took me a while to let go of the reigns and involve other people .
As long as you reward your employees good behavior by paying them well and acknowledging them they’ll go over and beyond .
You have to realize that your presence is not always warranted .
What’s the sense of having employees if your intervening every
few minutes to give your input .
There’s somethings you shouldn’t don’t do in front of the public eye unless it’s absolutely necessary .
Whilst you are busy micro managing you are losing out on opportunities to grow your brand .
You have come close to maximizing your profit margins
You don’t even know the sales figures of the various products lines you serve .
There is so much more you could be doing besides micro managing .
I think you get a thrill out of knowing you are the owner hence why your name is plastered across everything .
Facebook isn’t named after its co founder however it is a multi billion dollar enterprise .
The purpose of me being an entrepreneur is in having the freedom to set my schedule and also to leverage people .
As long as I lead by example pay my staff well ,reinvest portions of my profis into the business and staff members I don’t need to be on site every day .
Lest. To let go and get used to doing work behind the scenes .
As the owner you should be attending trade shows drumming up business and exploring partnerships .
The way you are operating now is not done in away that can help your brand grow exponentially .
There’s countless big businesses out there that you can learn from .
It’s your business and your money I get it
The most successful corporations use other people’s money hence why they issue stock .
I know you get a thrill out of knowing your name is plastered across multiple businesses .
The reason being is that you want to be known but not rich .
What good is it having a business if you are going to operate with an employees mindset ?
You own your own business yes however you still haven’t generated enough money so that you don’t have to work that job .
If you keep operating the way you do you’ll always need that job as a second source of income .
You are making money and that’s good but are you making enough to sustain yourself after all monies have been paid invested and budgeted for ?
The answer to that is no .
You are playing defense instead of offense .
You are well versed in certain areas of the industry but oblivious in others .
Your ego is holding you back .
Owning a business is an accomplishment but growing it b
and sustain it is totally different .
