How to deal with trolls ?

I know what it is like being a troll so I have experience on either side.

To be honest trolls  are not going anywhere anytime soon  so  Get used to it .

If you aren’t getting comments on your feed yet  you will at some point .

It is easier to respond to comments that aligns with your goals. 

It’s harder to take constrictive criticism that doesn’t align with the outcome you want  to achieve.

One person might  think your content is boring. . The next person might think it’s entertaining and valuable. 

Anything you post on social media is subject to be criticism regardless of how good it is .

Keep that in mind moving forward so that you can better manage  both negative and positive feed back .

Would you rather put out content that no one views ,likes ,dis likes or comments on ?

Meditate on that for a moment .

Now I am on to my next point in showing you two quick tips about  trolls.

1 If you engage in verbal warfare they  they thrive  .

2  Dis engage in verbal  warfare you empower yourself  .

Rapper 50 cent is famously known for trolling his rap rivals .

Tekashi 69 is the new king of trolls and is quick to pounce on any rapper that challenges him .

I do not think that trolling is a sustainable way to establish yourself.

With that being said I do not think Trolling  will die out as long as you have people posting content. 

You need thick skin to deal with  name calling and the misinformation and the hate .

Get used to it because It is virtually impossible eliminate trolls .

They are annoying and disrespectful but there are ways to deal with them .

Later on in this article I am going to share some tips to help you deal with them  spammers.

Trolls like to be entertained . Some will provoke you to react a certain way and ruin to help you ruin  your reputation.

How you respond makes the biggest difference.

When  you respond negatively you are fall into their  traps .

There are ways to respond without ruining your reputation.

The difference with me is that I don’t feed into their negativity if and whenever I do respond I respond with logic

Be  mindful of the words you use because you can ruin your reputation in a hot second.

Trolls are not concerned about their reputation or yours. 

A trolls job is to disrupt you and that’s why it is good  ignoring them . The only way to keep  your power is by not to responding .

Trolls usually retreat or respond respectfully to educated replies.

I deal with trolls on youtube and I can say whilst I do want to respond negatively I can’t because in doing  so I am playing into their  game  .

When they make negative comments I Respond with logical reasoning but not every time I  respond  . Logical responses are the best response untoward a troll in my opinion 

They will disrespect but if you are calm and respectful in your reply they either A respond negatively B Respond positively C Don’t respond at all.

They need confrontation to stay alive so you being respectful closes the door for confrontation.

They also  like to dominate. They  hate competition and would try bully you into silence .

The way to push them back is to by  producing content and engaging in group  conversations.

You have to allow them to to hang themselves.

I deal with trolls regularly on YouTube so I know 

I know a few t that defend a certain rap artist whether he is right or wrong .

Anyone sharing opposing views about that rap artist is usually attacked  verbally  . Don’t  let them deter you. 

By not engaging in negative debate  you empower yourself .

Give yourself the power to feed them and starve them at will .

Don’t go out of your way to provoke them either .

Most times trolls bark at you to get your attention because they have channels ,services,products and more.

 I refuse to feed into their nonsense because it detracts and they know it  .

I know as long as I am active on social media I will receive backlash .

I am prepared for the backlash and the constructive criticism. When I produce and publish I do so knowing my work is subject to criticism.

Furthermore I am not expecting people to agree with everything that I  say .

Even this article is subject to criticism .

Before you hit publish or say anything just know that anything you say or do can be used against you .

I used the reference above not only from a legal standpoint but in general. It makes life easier on yourself when you are ready to accept criticism  

People will criticize you no matter how good or bad your work is .

Some peoples comments are not worth responding to . When some one makes a derogatory comment and you don’t respond it irks them .

I am not telling you to go out of your way and provoke people because it might back fire on you .

Do not give the  trolls leverage over you because they will use it against you .

I have had my run ins with them.

Like I said earlier if you do engage with one of them don’t say anything vile .

As long as you engage with logic  the troll remains powerless. Trolls just hate not being able to draw you into confrontation.

No confrontation is the medicine prescribed by me . You can ruin your reputation in a heartbeat.

But if you know the traits of a troll you xan detect their  nonsense. Some just troll  to try detract from the reality o .

If you do decide to respond make sure you reply without making personal attacks because that is what trolls love .

 Rrolls are not some creepy monsters .

I have trolls posting links to dating sites in the comment section of my youtube channel so I report them or  block them .

What I do is monitor my feed then delete the spam as soon as possible.

There are two types of spammers

• Link
• Comment

Neither of them provide avalue but I couldn’t tell you which one is worst .

 Trolling is ingrained on social media , there is no cure for it .

As long as you know and understand the fact that you are open to criticism you will be able to manage criticism better.

Everytime I post an  article or video I run the risk of being riduculed. 

What you don’t want to do is discourage people from commentin

I know how spammers operate so therefore I can quickly decipher the good from the bad.

I know the baiting tricks . Here I have a few tips to help you  combat trolls .

Be assertive 

When you are confident and speak logically people will support you . There will always be people for you and against.  

I notice that  insecure People like to attack  other people whom they perceive as a  threat. Continue planting seeds in peoples lives  .

Don’t be competitive

I see people in competition all the time on socialmedia and will go to great lengths to prove themselves .By not being competitive you minimize the chances of  leaving  the door open for your competitors and assoc5 to attack you .  fmFocus on the audience you are serving .

Give credit

Everytime  I am on facebook I make sure I compliment my fellow marketers. Doing so helps relieve tension and build relationships.Yes it works and  You should try it out .

Don’thide

Don’t be afraid of speaking up because there are people that would love for you to remain silent . Share your thoughts even if it goes against popular belief in a professional manner. 

Admit your blunders

I get chastised a lot on line but that doesn’t stop me from being transparent.When you try to hide things you u open the door for harsh criticism. When you are open people are likely  to gravitate 

When you bring your failures  to the attention of the public Freely the enemy is even more powerless .

Yes you will receive some backlash but it wouldn’t be as severe as if some one else brought it to the spotlight .

Use your inbox too because Some discussions need to be held privately .

Mind your business

You know your goal .There is no reason for you to poke your nose into conversations you have no business getting into . Even If you have an answer to the problem you are better off staying out . Usually when people are beefing on socialmedia everything is in public domain  Use your intuition at all times. 

Have fun

Lile I said earlier don’t be competitive be strategic and valuable because that is how  people gravitate towards you .You will win people over  simply being you .

Summarry 

Don’t feed into the nonsense you are much smarter than that. Trolls drive off hate and envy .Keep your sanity and reputation intact at all times. 

Let the trolls fight amongst themselves.
