Do not worry you do not have to be a genius to be a contender online.
In fact the people who you see making big moves have had to learn through trial and error too.They are not any different from us ability wise , Anyone telling you different is trying to sell you a dream .
Now…alot of what you are going to learn in this session might overwhelm you at first but Do not be intimidated ….you will get a sense of what works and what does not work for you as you go along.
You might not use every technique in this booklet but sift through the sand and throw the pebbles away.
You will gain insight as you go along.
You might not get the full picture now but eventually you will because most of what you need to learn is publicly accessible .
Hopefully by the time you finish reading this post you would have learned something new and helpful.
My aim here tonight is to spill my guts on everything that I presently know about-face book.
I do not proclaim to be a pro or “Guru” either , I am here to give you my opinion based on experience .
So let’s get into the swing of things
What techniques are you currently using to drive traffic ?
Are you like me when I started out 4 plus years ago searching scrolling, subscribing to people’s list ,buying up coaching programs hoping to make sales ?
Look no further because I have something that I want you to know.
(Facebook is a marketers dream)Never in the history of business have we had the opportunity to compete with the big boys on a “shoe string budget” or without a budget.
The dominant players on the advertising scene used to be
1. Radio
2. Tv
3. Print
4. Billboards
These are networks of Which required you to have a huge budget to reach your audience.
Luckily with the likes of google,Facebook,you tube rising to prominence the cost of building and advertising is a drop in the bucket compared to what it used to be.
So where do we start ?
We start by testing times and different content formulas .
Thursdays and Fridays from
1pm – 3pm (Hubspot)
Thursdays 8pm ( TrackMaven)
1pm -4pm late into the week and on weekends ( co schedule)
Early afternoons during the week and Saturdays (Buffer)
This is just to give you time frames to work with going forward.
There is no guarantee that any of these techniques will work out So you must test and tweak until you find a winning combination.
I have found a few things that worked really well for me recently some of which I will share in another post .
For now lets move on to my next point.
Use your discretion .Up to this day I scroll through my feed to see what my competitors are doing .
So what you want to do is to be patient .For example :If You decided to post a status up date 9pm central and you do not receive the response you was expecting do not ditch your strategy right away.
Take into consideration why that particular post is not performing well .It could be the time of the day ,the headline or it could be the imagery,your landing page.
So take the time out to analyze tweak ,measure first before you make hasty decisions.
Are you using Facebook ads ?
The ads section can be a goldmine if you can avoid the pitfalls that I endured when I was running my campaigns .
I was focusing on vanity metrics .
Page likes
Reach
Engagement
Whilst these factors give you insight they do not measure the return on your investment .
Unless you want to throw away your hard-earned dollars I would advise you to revise your strategy if your not seeing any return .
If you do not see any sales coming in maybe it is time to pause your campaign and tweak it.
No sales coming in could mean something is not working .Here are 3 things you can check in this situation.

3. Audience
4. Capture page
Paid ads give you a quick short sharp boost, Organic reach is declining but it is still a powerful tool.
Ride the wave
Do you have any content that is gaining traction on your Facebook page ?If you do not it is time that you increase the quality of your content output .
Any content that you have that is getting a good flow of traffic to it needs a few marketing dollars behind it so that it can gain more traction.
Going narrow with your ads allows you to save it won’t cost you as much as going broad.

You have to Learn how to harness the power of Facebook in order to be effective .
So what is my definition of ” being effective” ?
Communicating in a language and tone that is native to your audience on each platform.
I wish I had known this before ,maybe I would be a lot further ahead.

There are 2.27 billion active monthly users as of the third quarter of 2018.These numbers are telling .In fact there is enough room for you and I to share a percentage of this group.
Facebook is not exactly like twitter and you tube However there are similarities between them.
All 3 platforms allow you to interact with your audience freely in the comment section without coming across as being intrusive.
If you are going to make progress then you will need to be strategic.
Action is required on your part .You have to be willing to learn through trial and error.
So it comes down to knowing your demographics and knowing how to spark conversations.
So people like you and I should constantly be on the look out for information and techniques that we can incorporate into our strategies.
I am going to keep it real with you. .Neither of us can game Facebook or the algorithm .
You might get away with a few cool hacks here and there up until the cyber police catch up with you. Then what ?
I want you to stay up-to-date on matters relating algorithms ,seo why ? Because you can get penalized for breaking the rules .
Facebook does its job with the regular updates regarding changes taking place on the medium.
However the onus is on you to read the policy updates or risk having your content outreach take a hit.
The information and news are available for all of us to read .A prevention is always better than a cure.
So be proactive and make the proper adjustments .
On to my next point
Perfectionism will hinder your growth .Me you or anyone else will never write the perfect status update so we must focus on sharing high quality content.
and meeting the demands of our tribes .
No matter how much you learn if you are not executing on the lessons you are wasting your time.
So you have to evolve your skill-sets, do not wait for The book to make updates, be proactive and less reactive. .
Here are some more stats
The largest population of users on Facebook come from india with over 270 million followed by th u.s with 210 million.
With numbers like this there is no reason why you and I cannot tap into the market.
I haven’t checked the data on my audience as yet but you can bet sure as hell I will be diving in to my analytics to help myself make more informed marketing decisions.
Your target market might be outside of the u.s .so do not assume that your core audience is in America because you can be missing out on big marketing opportunities.

88% of all online users are age 18-29 which shows us that there is an opportunity for us to brand customized products and services tailored to the needs of this percentage of the population.
This is the group of people who falls into the (millennial category ).
The exciting part about this is that there is data that can help you and I to geo target products to this core group.
Heck you can re target to them after you run your first campaign because there is a high probability that a big percentage of these users will bounce off of your website.

I have a few more trends that I want to show you .
The stats above are a telling story .95.8% is big huge chunk of marketers using Facebooks page.
This is a good thing because quantity does not supersede quality .
This is where you have to do a little more research to find ways to reach your target audience with a unique proposition.
The cool thing about this is that you can deliver your message paid and free and still make sales either which way you decide to go.
You can use your Facebook fan page or you can use your profile to do it organically .
Yikes !Look at the digits below.
You have the opportunity to influence 44% of consumers.
Offcourse you do not need the entire market, no one will get that any way.People like you and I only need a tiny percentage .
In order for us to be succesful using this information we must incorporate a theme that is more customer centered.
See .. Facebook is an app but the idea was to create a social experience. So why are we so driven by sales ?
When we neglect the social aspect of it we lose out . Why.My answer is simple .
We are mainly communicating with humans so therefore we are interacting with people who have thoughts ,needs,feelings.
Think about the numerals I shared in relation to the amount of people whose purchasing decision are in influenced on the website.
44 % is it.If you can tune into maybe 6% of that group you can win.
Sub conclusion
Do not let nothing get in between you and your dream .You have the greatest gift and ability as well as any other human being that desires to work on their dreams and nurture them.
With that being said there has never been a better time to start branding online then now.
The app is an open book with lots of chapters in it with plenty of room for it to grow.
There is room available for you to grow in your network with in the network too.
