We have to earn the customers money even more these days .
Which means the demand for solutions and engagement is a priority.
Not every encounter with a client or prospect is the same so you have to make adjustments .
But What I can tell you is that you should listen to instead of assuming.
Some marketers like to lead with a product sales pitch
If you do that How do you know what your customer wants ? How can you give them detailed service and solutions ?
Not every situation is the same but the one thing that is for sure ,you have to listen to the customer .
Because Listening gives you the most leverage.
It helps so that You can give detailed answers solutions .
Now pre socialmedia days businesses were able to pay for TV,radio advertisement maybe slap something up on a billboard and make money with a big advertising budget .

How effective Are those methods of advertising ?
I think a lot of us are stuck in the old adage .
There is way more strategy involved in marketing .
This is not to say that people have not been successful using old techniques .

Let us compare two companies .1 Company is heavily using social media .The second company is rarely active but uses the traditional media outlets such as radio,television ,print.
The 1 st company is by in the best position to succeed.
The organic growth capabilities on social media is amazing .
Think about that for belief moment .
Imagine pumping some marketing dollars into a sponsored story .Your reach would go through the roof at minimum cost.
The cost of marketing is nothing compared to using the traditional media outlets.
There are companies like Sears and payless that failed to make the transition .
I have not come across too many people that have amassed a fortune using traditional marketing tactics .
This brings me to my next point
Before you even think about sales you need to actively engage the market.
The art of sales and marketing is in meeting the consumers demands then delivering to them .
Here is what you need to realize (without people there is not a market that needs to be served)
What unique selling point ,proposition value can you offer the person or persons whom you are asking money ?
Keep that in mind the next time you go out asking for money or Interact with a customer .
If the opposite is confident and knows that he/she stands to benefits eventually you will earn their dollars.
Here is what else you need to realize.
In order for the sales to take place you have to give value .
• That value could be an article
• The value could be words of inspiration
• The value could be a joke
• That value could mean giving people directions
Value is not defined or limited to a specific niche or topic.
The more direct you are with your solution the better .
Remember that the relationship has to be mutual .
When ever you think of sales and marketing think in terms of serviçe and solution . Agree or Disagree?
I have the sales bit in my mouth too but I prefer to build repeat customers rather than a 1 time buyer.
So my approach is different.
I have learned over the years to sell indirectly .
Make The people (target audience) the main priority.
So yes understanding the principles of driving engagement is vital for your out reach.

Servicing the wants of the people and closing go hand to hand .
There are some brilliant sales and marketers producing content ,engaging on a daily basis .
They are the people succeeding because they are making an effort.
So Making half hearted attempts to promote your products and services without engaging is a no no.
Put value out on a daily basis and watch things change .
Simple things like direct messaging coporations can generate income .
• It is not a hard thing to do but your time is the only requirment .
Here recently I have started to do more direct messaging .
Direct messaging is a game changer ,it cost nothing .
Garry V uses the direct messaging strategy to strive business deals.
It is a Powerful business communication tool that is under utilized.
You might think it is easier to pitch your services or make a phone call asking for money.
What if you chose to reverse engineer the scenario.
Instead of making that call asking for money you call and give solutions.
Sell the solution and the money will follow.
When you go straight in for the sale you will get a higher level of resistance then you would if you went in for the relationship.
Always Remember that you are the face of your brand .
Products are secondary.
Customer service and solutions comes first.
Business should model and alleviate the pains people are having.
It is in knowing your customer and serving them with dignity and pride.

Sales and marketing is an art form .
No special skills are required .
The only thing that is needed is your commitment .
Any niche you decide to venture into you must make sure that you lead with value.
You are the product that people buy into.
So you do not want to get caugh up and out into the frenzy.
Because sales and marketing is about differentiating yourself .
How can you set yourself apart from the pack ?
There is a lot of push marketing going on in a stampede like fashion.
I see facebook posters and instagram posters spamming on a regular due to a lack of empathy ,patience and in some cases experience.
Have you been on the receiving end of some spam ?
I have .
I do not like being spammed one bit.
Being that I know how it feels I will not do it to others.
People are in a rush to make a dollar.
When you are in a rush and ram your product down peoples throats you lose sales.
Hence why you should invest some time into learning how to drive sales .
Knowing what spins the marketing belt is significant.
Solutions influence people .
Even if you have a prospect that did not buy from you the first time there is a high probality that a sale will be made in the future if you follow up.
Ô ffering solutions allows you to walk your prospect through the process.
Atleast now you have given them a solution.
Remember you are not in control of the decisions people make but you can influence them .
Always remember what I just said.
Be patient and consistent with that person even if they do not make a purchase.
Your tone of voice body language is what people look at.
So you cannot afford to get an attitude because some one did not buy into your services.
Do not throw away the opportunity to get a life time customer .
Show empathy .Put yourself in the shoes of the person whom you are marketing too.
And you will win.
You should not allow buying or selling to control your emotions .
If you cannot contain your emotions in business you are in for a rough ride.
Shoppers will not tolerate being treated like some whore ,they will shop else where.
It is time to reverse engineer in the market.
Think about how you can best serve the needs of those people.
Sales and marketing has shifted .
There are some marketers that will make the adjustments.
If you want to evolve as a brand it is time for you to step up and start testing different methods.
The old ways are no longer as effective as they used to be .
Going in for a sale is expected but going in with intent to solve is not and that is why you should do it.
Marketing in this age is crucial because products become absolete however the memories you leave with people last for a life time .
So make the transaction beneficially mutual. You have to remember that the person you are talking to has a life too.
You want to ensure that you deeply understsand what your customers wants so that you can deliver .
Sales and marketing is the theme but the silent words, the root words are value and solutions.
I can assure you that you will win over lots of customers if you have a people first mentality.
The business that are in it for themselves will be the ones losing out short and longterm.
If you are able to Differentiat yourself by leading with value then you can win.
You will have people flocking to You like crazy .
A lot of people think of sales and marketing as buying and selling .
I look at it like a trade off .I am the salesman giving value and in return I get longterm customer relationships .
This only works if you lead with solutions not products.
Advertising is a very important aspect of the game .
But it is How you advertise that makes the difference.
Is your advertising native to each platform ?
Are you marketing to people in a way that makes them feel like they are buying into a solution?
As the salesman you have to be in tune with your audience other wise you will end up on the losing end .
Sell the solution and people will buy into it .
The communication ,post sale follow up is in one Unit.
Só do not think because you are not pushing your product on the front end that you are not making sales.
The conversation and value is the most important part in the selling process.
The product features are secondary in the process.
By the way ….having a better product does not mean you will make more sales .
Lead with value and stop being selfish like so many others .I was in the same boat not long ago until i renewed my mind.
Customers pay the bills. Therefore customer value is of the utmost importânce to me .
Take heed of what I am saying while you are still above water.
Do not wait until your business sinks to make a change.
