How to get leads for my business
Leads is like the life blood of a business but retaining knowing how to communicate and nurture your list is just as important .
There has to be a balance because without leads you will not have an active list to engage .
Lets be real and look at the shift that has taken place amongst consumers and casual internet users.
Marketing has changed dramatically over the years so as a result the old tried tested ways of advertising like push marketing are not as effective as they used to be. As a consequence there are many businesses heading for bankruptcy a lost of clients if the necessary changes aren’t made.
Since people like fast quick traffic and referrals we will talk about paid traffic for a quick minute
Paid advertisements can get you a (quick sharp jolt of traffic to your site , products )then after your campaign stops traffic declines.
Hence why building consumer confidence forming genuine relationships is fundamentally important to maintain existing relationships .
You have got to put out content on a large-scale to divert and retain people’s attention to your offer.
Since We are here to talk about leads let me give you an example of how I have gotten them.
Lets say (I set up a capture page purchase solo ads and then the solo ad provider blasted my offer to his/ her list and people opt in)
The opt in metric is the gauge that marketers like to use to measure the success of a campaign.
The true measurement of a campaign is whether or not you follow-up to retain your list plus convert them into buyers.
How many subscribers are opting out ? Have you learned to personalize their experience ? Are you broadcasting blanket emails ?
Not everyone in your list has the same issues hence why you need to segment organize your swipe copies.
What is your actual post follow-up game like ?
Are you spamming ?
Remember the process has to be mutually beneficial .
This is a funnel that shows the process
Buildingawareness captures their attention.
Interest moves them closer to buying
Decision is the time when each of them makes a choice
Action is the part of the process where you give further instruction
Here is an example of a mutual benefit
(In exchange for your email I give you a free downloadable e-book “15 ways to attract and nurture leads ”
There is direct methods like banner ads face book ads solo ads and indirect methods like boosting sponsored stories sharing content guest posting sharing value of some sort to get leads organically.
Lets dive in a bit deeper.
More brands are making it more about themselves and less about the customer.
Picture yourself signing up to join my list only to be beaten over the head with links to affiliate offers but very little engagement or substance if any at all.
That is the tactic that I see marketers using .
But as a consequence the value declines the spamming increases.
Getting products and services in front of people at all cost is intrusive .
Not only that but it comes across as if you only care about the sales.
More time needs to be spent curtailing products,services to customer needs.
So what is the main reason why we set up funnels ?
The purpose of making a funnel is to sell products as is normal however good customer service and value should be at the front end of the funnel.
Put yourself in the shoes of the prospect.
You have got to start thinking long-term .
Start Thinking of ways to enhance customer value .
The front end of your funnel gives people a preview of what is to come and can leave a lasting impression.
Therefore you need to be innovative and productive.
In Years past I ran ads directly to promotional campaigns because I did not know any better.
The next ad I run wiill be promoting an e-book content you know some up front value maybe free consultation package.I am going over and beyond basically over deliver for my customer.
Simple little tweaks can improve your ROI if you have the patience and willingness to build long-term relationships.
A lot of the tactics I used a few years ago are now outdated
• Running tea spring campaigns directly to my products i.e my shirts for likes
• Sending off my affiliate links to my email list
• Banner ads promoting my products.
I used to get excited when people would opt in . That was the highest achievement in my eyes but I never converted any one into buyers.
Those tactics are not effective .

With that in mind we have to be mindful to build bridges to connect with the consumer using content as the gate way to our products and services .
Let me touch back on the point I made about people opting out.
You cannot control people’s actions thoughts and feelings but you can influence them.
Depending on the tactics you use in the market you will either succeed or fail.
When I say fail I mean (failing to connect with your audience in a meaningful way “providing service solutions.”
In the long run the goal is to convert your leads into advocates and buyers of your products.
Give your clients the solutions they need so they then become your brand ambassadors
This is going to require some work on your behalf.Take the time out study trends, buying habits.
Once you are aware of the patterns you can adjust tweak your funnel accordingly to maximize sales and subscriber rate.
Some of us get excited and bent out of shape when some one signs up than months years down the road not one them buy anything .
You need to develop a formula that is all inclusive So when some one opts in you can increase the sales.
No It is not a sin to prioritize financial obligations however the customer is the one paying your bills so the relationship has to be mutually beneficial .
What you want to do is marry your client base in other words “build a relationship that is sustainable.”
Anyone can set up design a capture page.
In fact I have come across some of the most well designed structured lead pages .
Capture pages can be tweaked to increase subscriber rate.
However the front end of some of the funnels that I have seen promoted almost promise a guarantee of some financial reward.
When you lead and set the tone by giving promise of a monetary reward you entice and attract a certain brand of people.
You attract get rich quick people .The “get rich quick people “pop in and out of list because they lack the understanding of how to build long-lasting business relation ships and want quick money.
When you make monetary promises it is misleading to a degree because it is highly unlikely that some one can sign up to your program today and make money today.
So If I were you I would build and market according to audience needs with a long-term view in mind.
As of right now it is like a hit and run .No relationship building or nothing and people are growing tired of it.
The way we consume information and make purchasing decisions is changing rapidly .
Mark my words on this one and I quote ” if you do not adjust your strategy then business and revenue is going to decline” for the simple fact that you have decided to focus solely on numbers instead of customer needs and trends.
Go deep with your service.In other words attracting and retaining repeat buyers is better than selling single products to a wide market of one time customers.
Remember your customers are your advocates.

Lead generating is not complex nor technical but You have to be more customer orientated to maximize.
Yes there are tools you can use to automate your series but it requires work on the front end .
When you mention leads in groups most people are quick to jump in on the topic.
In fact there are some that are so quick to pitch you their solo ads promising that their traffic is high converting .
The problem with many marketers is them believing the hype because “the money is in the list.”
Unless you have converted subscribers into buyers then there is no money other than the dollars you paid the vendors.
This is where you have to shift your thinking.How much of a return do I get on each dollar spent on advertisement.
If I spend 5 dollars to obtain one customer today and earn 10 dollars next month next year on each subscriber then I am marking up 100 % return.
That is a hypothetical example to give you a break down of the metrics you can use a measuring stick.
Remember you might not receive a dime on the front end but later on down the road earn a surplus of what you invested into obtaining the lead.
That is long-term thinking .Short term thinking would have you spending more marketing dollars on the front end to get your products accepted .
Summary
Lead generating is a hot discussion in the market place and I have seen multiple techniques used to capture people’s attention.
Remember to pump out value consistently and after a while you will be known as a thoughtful leader in the field .
You will get to a point where you become the lead magnet .People will be drawn into your groups podcast youtube creating a wave of traffic referrals.
