Peoples attention spans are short which means you have to do something to arouse them to take interest in you .

Truth of the matter is in order to be a good  influencer you have to be a good listener.

Instead of assuming and talking at people talk with them


What I am speaking about is conveying your message to each audience uniquely and tone they understand.

No matter what platform you use your tone and approach is important .

Some people have big misconceptions as to what an influencer really is .

For one you cannot just add to the noise .

Good influencers are known for a trade mark . In other words they do things original some if what no one else can do as good .

I think sometimes people get their wires crossed and lose focus . The focus should not only to be heard but also to listen .

As a leader your job is to inspire and educate people to do the right thing . On another note some of us might have to redefine our definition of socialmedia influence in order to move forward and be successful .

Sometimes you have to move slow before you can go fast . In other words pace yourself and establish yourself as an authority . Do not be online capping like some of the others out here . People will find out about you and expose you .

Just because you are the leader doesn’t mean you don’t fall short .You might leave yourself vulnerable in doing so but it helps you build connections.


Don’t attack others

Socialmedia is the place where people post news and it travels faster than lightening.

People will not hesitate to blast you me or anyone else. Customers post reviews both good and bad.

Even People that don’t follow you will find something to say even if it is a rumor or something old .

Be mindful of what you say because you never know when the shoe is going to be on the other foot.

Remember you are not the only leader

Every leader has strengths and weaknesses.You will bump into influencers that have different skillsets from you or similar .

You have to get used to others showing up sharing their expertise too .

Don’t be insecure when you see that. Embrace it and see what you can learn .

Do your research so that you can be ready to answer questions. If you don’t know the answer direct the person to someone that does .

Don’t tell them show them

I think the most successful influencers show up and deliver.

You can get attention indirectly . Some people try too hard but when they do get it they don’t know what to do with it .

The Size of your following is not as important as the impact you should make in peoples lives .

I show up in group settings ask questions and share my expertise . I also have a personal group where I share and engage with others .

Don’t take advantage of people You will find that most of the people following you are curious and some are spammers. In the grand scheme of things people are going to take interest .
