Lead generation is needed to keep people’s eyes and attention on your brand .

I see marketers screwing up their chances on the first interaction.

I am going to tell you what not to do when you get leads .

Do not ever approach a stranger and say “hey I have the offer of a life time” because that is the quickest way to spam and lose credibility.

Once you lose your credibility  it is going to be hard to get it back. Funny enough that is how majority of marketers behave  .

They want sales so they say but  what they do not know is that they are destroying their chances of making the sales by being so pushy .

Pushing your products and services on people is only going to push them further away from you.

The more you push people away the harder it is going to be for you to make money.

The opening of a  conversation could make you or break you .

I know that you are anxious to make sales because it gives you a feeling like a high .

You can get the sales in the lon-run if you are patient and genuine in the beginning .

As a matter of fact with so many  marketers hunting leads and sales the market is saturated.

And I love the idea of jumping into saturated markets.

The reason why I like jumping into  saturated markets is because doing it  allows me to differentiate myself meaning stand out.

There is only a minority of media companies and marketers making big money online  .

They are the  minority  nurturing leads  giving value  .

See you have to be willing to give without expectations.

Hence why I advocate that you pump out value to your audience on a daily basis.

Simple things like jumping in forums, groups and answering questions consistently.

The majority of marketers  do not do it because all they want to do is spam  you .

They have the  mindset that we want their products and services only.

There is no effort to make the customer happy .You cannot run a business  like that and expect longjevity.

Customers are the life line of businesses. They can take their money and spend it where they want and how they want.

Consumers are used to seeing adverts promising results in 30 days .

They are used to seeing 90 days money back guaranteed

I am not saying  the money back guaranteed method is useless .I am saying that it is more useful  when you add socialmedia engagement and value into the equation.

Everything that you do now needs to be value driven.

Your products and services cannot sell alone .

The lead up to the sale is in  the value that you  offer.

The value is a solution.

You might not make the sale right there but you will win the  person over .

When you give them value you make them feel loved and appreciated.

In addition to that you are making them comfortable.

And when they are comfortable with you they will more likely buy from you.

The last few days I have had marketers trying to sell me their products and services.

But I will not move because they have not giving me a reason to .

All because they were so hungry for a sale they couldn’t think of anything else to do besides pitch me.

I am not impressed to say the least. I am not upset either because it is people like that that leave more doors open for sales and leads.

They pushed me away and I am sure they will push many others away too.

And this is not to cast stones at them either .

When I started internet marketing I was the same way and I was on  every webinar learning how to convert leads.

I was fascinated with the thought of getting leads .

But I knew nothing about giving value to those leads I had captured .

All I was doing most of the time was giving them a link to buy into my services.

I made no sales  even after investing thousands  of dollars .

To top it off I wasn’t making the payments in  time to keep my A webber  account up to date .

So I lost my money and I lost my list.

The biggest lesson I learned in it all was that I should provide value .

Now that I know better I would make sure that I do it.

I personally do not find it hard to get leads .

The part I have to brush up on is converting them  into buyers.

And it all centers around giving Value.

Discussing leads is a topic that gets people excited .

The first thing that people think about when talking about leads is a sale.

But me I like to look at that lead like a relationship that I cherrish .

Because I know that I could make multiple sales on the back end of ny funnel.
Further more it is highly unlikely to make repeated sales or keep leads without offering some value .

Without people visiting websites,reading your content and without you engaging ,sharing in groups,posting blogs ,running solo ads, ,vlogs no one would know who you are or where  you are .

But Once you get people’s attention you have to guide them through the process.

So Your job is to alleviate their pains and fears.

Do Note that every time you share your thoughts and answer questions you open the door for sales and leads .

That is how you attract the people .

Lets look at a few more ways to get leads

3 Content promotion

Lets see how the scenarios play out .

(1) Lets say I tweet a post about how to get more retweets in less than 10 seconds accompanied by a landing page so that People can opt-in .
Scenario (2 ) Find a solo ad provider and blast my blog link to their list .

Note I wouldn’t give the vendor my link without writing a customized copy.

Scenario number (three )

Say I Run banner ads .

The Banner ad model is outdate and is  not as effective as it used to be.

But I was  using it as an example ?

Because people still do use them .

Take a look at how the situations play out .

Both of them require time and patience.

 

But there is more to getting leads than throwing money behind ad campaigns .

Things like Knowing what to  do when your lead opts in.

Do you lead with a link to your products as soon as that person opts in ?

So What skillsets does it require to get leads ?

The law of attraction is the indirect method of getting leads and sales .

Paying a solo ad provider is the direct way among many other.

I am sure you will lose some money but you do not want to throw it away .

Remember I said something about the landing page right?

Well this is something you need to consider

Tweaking your landing page .And what do I mean ?

The title , copy and offer has to be on point.

Are you using video or infographics to as a lead generator  ?

Mind you there is no sure way but what I can tell you is that targeted value trumps all.

Mind you the best sales copy in the world is of little value if your message is not targeted.

4. Tutorials
5. Webinars
6. Guest posting
7. Commenting

The list goes on

But it is important to use the channels I just mentioned.

And Google is the the wheel that drives people to your portal.

And yes your website should be fully optimized to show up in the first few pages of search.

I should have mentioned it earlier but I will do it now.

Facebook ads is a good tool to use to get leads too.

If you set up a Facebook fan page you can share content with your audience and see the reach and engagement your post are getting in no time .

When you see content engagement you can sponsor the story and get more likes and  engagement.

That is the power of socialmedia ,getting leads for little or no cost at all.

We must take advantage of the opportunities to scale available .

Hence why we have to be vigilant and aware of who and where our customers are.

Your words can draw people in or chase them away.

The power of Facebook groups and forums is under appreciated.

I get in groups every day to ask questions ,share quotes, tips .

Even without a capture page and auto responder.

Imagine if I used an auto responder and lead capture page. I would have a big list by now.

That is definitely on my agenda .

One thing about having an email list you can market to your audience on a daily basis.

But What is most  important is the value you provide to your list.

You cannot give them value on one end then screw up the process by spamming and marketing products .

The objective here is to romance your audience and keep them thirsting for more.

I have seen people blow the opportunity to get leads. Just by being impatient and spammy.

Stay consistent,cool ,calm ,collective while on your journey.

If you nurture the leads and use the right formula to capture and keep them then sales would come in.

Every time I hit the record button on a video I have the potential to inspire educate and uplift people

 

Even every one watching my video live or on replay is a potential  lead.

Value and introduction co exist so it is imperative that you open with value.

Remember every  message that you send out is representative of your brand .

People are mindful and will always remeber how you made them feel .

That is why it is important to feed people with value .

By leading with value,you build trust and brand equity.

If you can put more Focus on your branding instead of selling you would make big commisions in the future.

But When you are always trying to sell you come across as a desperate spammer.

Do you want that on your resume ?

No one likes spammers and fraudsters.

You can make it easier on yourself by providing value .

I think you should do it.

Value the customer and they will do the same in return.

You have to make sure that you make the transition a lot easier for your customer.

Remember that you are not bigger than your customer .

So do not try to run game on them because in the end it will come back  and haunt you .

Marketers like running game on people up until  they get caught out.

If you want to thrive on socialmedia be loyal and respectful to your fans.

Even when you do start making money do not get arrogant and lose focus .

Play the game long and think of ways you can give customer value .
