Todays post is about Publishing frequency , scheduling , long and short form content and keywords.
This is a widely discussed topic as you can type in a simple search and find lots of articles sharing different viewpoints.
This is a tricky one if you ask me because there are methods ,ideologies in support of many of the concepts covering the subject.
You can find many social media influencers having had success documenting 1000 words plus like Neil Patel.
My goal here isn’t to discredit anyone but more so to show you that there are more factors that you must consider before you come to a conclusion.
Read my previous blog Post too entitled; easy tips 7 smart ways to tweet.
Without further due let’s get into today’s lesson
Your goals
For example; if you were trying to write a cover story on twitters new policy update there is a strong chance that you can get your point across quicker vs writing about WordPress coding or how to use face book Botts.
So in this case it is all about your goals .
How often should you write
Quantity doesn’t work alone, there needs to be a balance between quality and quantity.
Now if you are a new blogger and your name isn’t established I think that you would need to write more frequently. Moreover I think that it would be beneficial if you spent time promoting your content to help extend its life span .
Keyword search
I just recently did a you tube video of how to gear A blog for maximum growth ;to Make a long story short ,I did a search and found that “A blog” had under 400 searches so I used it.Put aside the fact that I am on the first page of YouTube I still to this date I haven’t had any views .
So what this tells me is that keywords must align with my content goals. Had I used a more generic sear-term there is a strong chance that my video would have eye balls on it.
Do your keyword search but don’t allow competition deter you from using certain terms.
And this why
You could very much cover the same topic in more detail in less oe more words.
Lets go deeper here
Your site gets 30/100 clicks
My site gets 25/100 clicks
In the above scenario Google is going to reward you with a higher ranking from the signals that Google gets when some one clicks on your links,so the more clicks the better it is for your ranking.
Here is another factor to consider
Your bounce rate
Any time a visitor comes to your blog without browsing or exploring Google thinks that your site is not serving the purpose of the search.
Moreover it is not just the quality of your article that matters,it is the social validation and user behavior too.
This brings me to our next point
The longer a person spends on your page the more google will view your site as valuable which help boost your blogs rank.
Website comparisons
Your site and my site can be numbers 1 and 2 in the but I can inch ahead of you to the number 1 position based on clicks alone.
If you take time to analyze this post you would clearly see that I have a strong case to back my argument .
Do you feel that publishing frequency and keywords are the most important factors.
