The bully approach doesn’t cut it in the work place , In fact all it does is cause disruptions .

Do realize that mis treating your workers can lead to strikes ?

You have Some people in management positions the aren’t qualified.

Just because you put in decades doesn’t mean you are qualified to be a manager .

Being a good manager requires multiple skill sets but Some of you just don’t grasp it .

Management is a responsibility .

When you do something to cause people to mistrust you then what ?

Do know that the best work environment is an all inclusive work environment.

Management that cannot lead is weak .

Communication and collaboration is important .

Every employee should be given incentive to work and yes employees should make their time and give you a honest days work .

People aren’t going to give you an honest days work if you they aren’t feeling appreciated .

I think we get wrong when we think management is about authority, management is about responsibility .

Good supervisors motivate their colleagues , bad management destroys confidence .

Bad management will ruin your business ,then You have situations where management doesn’t get along with staff .

People have too many personal issues going on to be getting stressed out in the work place .

Management needs to set good examples .because Working environments shouldn’t be toxic .

Workers shouldn’t be made to feel like prisoners .

Yes managers needs to push staff but in the right way , this means no micromanaging, it means communicating collaborating .

It also means thinking outside of the box .

Every staff member should know their task .

The drill sergeant approach is counterproductive .

Talking to a person and talking with a person is different.

When you are talking with a person they are likely to be more receptive.

Now if you are shouting at somebody arguments and disruptions can start .

Me saying what I am saying doesn’t mean there aren’t going to be disagreements in the work place ,It means working towards a common goal and controlling your egos .

In actual fact disagreement are healthy because they can produce new ideas .

If you allow your ego to take control you will always think that you are right .

Every person on the payroll is an important piece to the puzzle and you are only as strong as your weakest link .

Dominating your market yes being the industry leader yes dominating your employees no .

You are doing yourself and the company a disservice when you try to conquer your staff .

Double standards

This one is a pet peeve of mines .Treating your employees differently creates animosity and dis trust . Reward them accordingly yes but be open and balanced across the board .

Productivity

People are not going to give you their best effort if you keep degrading them . Your staff shouldn’t be afraid of making mistakes . When they feel like that they’ll be reluctant to take responsibility and try new things.

Give them creative freedom

We know you are in charge but Just because you have a management title doesn’t mean you can’t be demoted or replaced .

You like flexing your muscle and asserting yourself

People will lose respect for you .

People know who you are but if you carry yourself like an idiot ? Remember it is not about the position it is about the example you set . If all you do is turn people off they are going to be stand offish .

Adapt

You have to change with the times ,Invest in technology , invest in your people . You should be training people consistently, teaching them new skills and collaborating .

Management must not get complacent

Sometimes management doesn’t want to listen sometimes they do . Management must listen to all people on the work force . Entry level employees do and see things you aren’t aware of so you can learn by listening .

Don’t be insecure

The only way to protect your position is by performing not by being defensive . You keep thinking the employees under your authority are going to replace you but with an attitude like that Some one will .

Your attitude is slowing down progress .

You don’t want to delegate you just want to dictate .

Team work

You can’t run a medium sized or large cap company by yourself .Imagine if you didn’t have employees .How would you manage ? You would lose business and sink . You certainty don’t want to lose good employees to competitor’s .

Good employees are not easy to find but when you do find them you have to treat them with respect. You can’t talk down to people because it can cause friction .

Empathy

Having empathy and patience is a skill many of us lack because we are impatient. Business is about relationships on all levels . Having respect and the ability to put yourself in the next persons shoes will help you stand out .

Leave your problems outside

Don’t bring your personal issues to the work place . Management and all other staff bring their unresolved problems from home into the work environment .

I do believe companies should have resources readily available should some one need professional help.

After all you are like a family for the duration of the time you are together . It is more beneficial for you to work together . Do you think ?

Some of us are willing to change and some of us aren’t. What you do with your personal life is your business but when you in authority of people the responsibility is greater . Some Ceo’s waite too long to shuffle management, promote or demote . You can’t be reluctant to hold a manager accountable that is under performing.
