Awarding your staff is a good way to inspire them to do more and it sparks a healthy competitiveness .

2 Don’t be a drill sergeant

You don’t have to be aggressive to get your point across .All you really have to do is give clarity and assurance when communicating .

You want your workers to feel comfortable calling you if they are in dis tress .

If people aren’t comfortable communicating with you they’ll short change you ,your business doesn’t need that .

3 Embrace ideas

Yes you worked hard and are taking on all the risk however that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take advice .

If you listen you will learn but if you aren’t willing to listen you won’t learn .

4 Don’t over work your staff

Find ways to create balance . In other words try not to set out long schedules if it is not needed because the last thing you need is for people to to burn out .

When your workers are feeling energized they will be a lot more productive.

5 Accept the mistakes

You shouldn’t go crazy when some one makes a mistake otherwise you will discourage them .

Give them the guidance they need so that they don’t become hesitant to try.

If you grill some one for making a mistake they’ll be reluctant to try .

6 Equal treatment

Don’t set double standards .I have seen this in the work place .

You give certain employees a free pass for bending the rules but will punish the next person for the same offence .

I know you have your favorites but in the work place favoritism is not a good thing . When you show favoritism the other staff members will become dis infranchised .
