You know your worth so therefore you shouldn’t be compromising your integrity just to land clients .
People that respect you are going to pay your prices and the people that don’t aren’t . When you become desperate you become vulnerable .
Premium paying customers are easier to maintain than lower paying customers .
If you drop your prices you aren’t going to attract a higher paying clientele .
Remember you are what you attract and think .
A person that values their time isn’t going to be little themselves .
Why put yourself in a position to be exploited ?
You are doing yourself a disservice lowering your prices to get work in addition to that you are setting yourself up to be taken advantage of .
The people paying lower prices want maximum productivity which means they want the full package despite paying less .
It’s either you take heed or go tbrough the frustration and stress of dealing with ungreatful people.
There are certain demographics of people whom I don’t do business with or associate with
My time and energy is sacred which means it is dear to me .
If I cannot get value for my time I am not doing it .
It’s time to start thinking big and not small like an amateur . In other words think big and be professional .
Don’t you have over head and all the other expenses to pay ?
Overhead consist of taxes, staff, inventory ,rent, mortgage ,insurance so by the time you add up all of your expenses how much are you left with ?
I state my prices without hesitation when asked .
I know I produce value so in return I want value for my time .
Furthermore I only deal with people operating on a certain level .
Never devalue yourself
Your reputation can make you or break you .Not only is your reputation a deal breaker but consumers will talk about you .
When you do something for 1 person at a reduced price word spreads like wild fire .
There are people that will pay premium prices for quality and some won’t .
The people that aren’t willing to pay tour prices they aren’t ideal customers .
Not every dollar is a good dollar
Some people are headaches so it’s best to vett these people out before you take them on .
The people that cannot afford your prices will tell you that you are too expensive which makes it easier for you to weed them out .
Don’t be desperate
When you become desperate people will take advantage of you so If you take on a client at a steep discounted rate and take a loss after you’ve signed the agreement then there is nothing you can do besides learn from the ordeal .
1 thing about business you will learn is that when you are in the hole no one is coming to save you .
Cheap prices
When you as the contractor charge cheap prices the client is getting cheap labour and sub par results .
Your client might be saving but the quality of work isn’t going to be on par with a contractor charging premium prices and paying their workers a good wage .
Look at the big picture. and think big .
Are you in business to be a slave to money or are you in business to leverage people time and money ?
Have some dignity and pride and self respect .Don’t jump at every opportunity otherwise you’ll lose .
Yes you are getting a high volume of work but your profit margins are thin and you can barely cover your expenses . I have seen people charge cheaper prices then turn around take short cuts .
Conclusion
Learn how to say no .You will attract the right customers if you stay on course and not not compromise
